Stories Behind the Faces

"The Vietnam Veterans Memorial was a memorable experience to me. Some things you just can't learn and feel in a classroom and this was one of them. To actually walk around and see all the names of those killed, some even from Brockport High School, really hit home for me. I was able to picture what it must have been like to be 19 years old, scared to death, carrying all that was precious to me. The thought of never seeing my family and friends went through my mind. There really is no word to describe what I feel for these troops that risked their lives in a war seems irrelevant to me now. All I can say is that I will never forget them and my love is with them always."
